Actually i am planning to participate in a kolam competition and the theme is "sankranti". It would be great help for me..if you share some guidelines and designs with me...theme should consist of all the elements of sankranti(haridas,pongal pot,sugarcane,kites...so on)

These are very simple and beautiful.
I use this to challenge my daughters to copy it in their notebook and give different color combination.
They are 5 and 7 Y.O and it improves their cognitive skills, imagination and hand eye coordination. These are just not kolams, these are a great learning lessons for the young ones.
